It is a rarity to find an artist that has a heart as big
as their talent.....Carla's art shows her love of
creation in every mask and piece of sculpture she
creates. I met Carla in 1998 when I invited her to
participate in an art and wine event at a Carmel, CA
shopping center. Everyone was amazed at her mask making
talents and techniques. Now, years later, she has grown
in her talent and is creating pieces that compare to
Master Mask Makers and Sculptors in Italy.
Her pieces adorn walls in homes and businesses around
the country.....everyone should own one....or two!

Carla Almanza de Quant is unique in creating Le
Maschere d'Italia using the techniques of
Renaissance Italy combined with her own
magnificent talents, love of life, people and
nature. Her Sculptures have life and the artist
transfers her love to you through the molding,
paper mache, fabrication and painting of what
she has created. Carla and Johan add a wonderful
dimension to our lives at Gioia. We are family.
